by: Jimbo

Windells Camp - shred it!
With spring around the corner our friends from Windells are sending out a PSA to all those looking to hone their skills and shape tehir Olympic dreams.

After all since Olympians Shaun White, Hannah Teter and Louie Vito learned to snowboard at Windells you should too!

MT. HOOD, OR March 2010 With the excitement of the Vancouver Winter Olympics still fresh, Windells is now registering campers for their Spring Break Camps. Campers of all skill levels can refine their shred on beautiful Mt. Hood, whether it s on a snowboard, skis, or a skateboard.

There are several Spring Break Camp sessions March 20-26th, March 27-April 2nd, and April 3-April 10th and camp sizes are limited to increase interaction with the instructors. Windells gives campers access to natural snow year-round, and has its own lift at Timberline for more laps. When campers aren t ripping it up on the slopes or in the halfpipe, they re having non-stop fun on the Windells campus. With skateboard, BMX and freeride facilities, the 12,000 square foot Building Out Back (B.O.B), paintball, movie rooms, the Super Awesome Information Game Lounge and a bunch of other activities, there s always something to do.

Tuition for the Snowboard and Ski Camps are $1,249 for overnighters, and $724 for day campers. This includes lift tickets, in-depth instruction, food, prizes, transportation, supervision, video review, camp activities, and more. The Skateboard Camp is $700 for overnighters and $500 for day campers, and does not include lift tickets. To register, go to http://www.windells.com.

Windells alumni have won 23 Olympic medals including five at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, B.C. Shaun White, Louie Vito, Hannah Teter, and Kelly Clark are among the many current Olympians who have honed their skills on the slopes of Mt. Hood as a Windells camper.

Shotwell Episodes - Alex Klein
by: Jimbo

Shotwell - Alex KleinThe boys from Say Mayday sent over these cool episodes featuring Alex Klein and his adventures. Here's their recap:

"Alex was a skateboarder for most of his life. It was good to him; he had legitimate sponsors, he was able to travel the world and meet new people everywhere he went. But by the time he turned 25, he felt the need to explore new avenues.

With a natural inclination toward storytelling (he'd been submitting editorials to skateboard magazines for a few years during his skating career), Alex wanted to try his hand at filmmaking. A lack of direction hampered his ability to dive in immediately, but a surprise meeting with Joel Coen would inspire him to make a film with the limited resources to which he had access. Cue God Went Surfing with the Devil.

Alex and a crew of three friends (Edward Chase, Bryan Derballa, and Danilo Parra) spent two months shooting in Israel and Gaza, exploring surfing as means of peacemaking in the region. Despite being confronted with grave danger at every turn while under the stress of a strict timeline, Alex was able to complete his film. And despite his satisfaction with how it turned out, the experience had a lot more to offer than simple lessons in filmmaking."

by: Jimbo

Nike SB Windbreaker

It's been raining heartily in Los Angeles this winter and with spring around the corner the rains should abate, yet to be sure his seasonal sessions are not interrupted by the watery sustenance from above, P-rod will be donning a slick new windbreaker compliments of Nike SB. Nike has always made sweet windbreakers. Remember the 80s?
