Torstein Horgmo know what it is, look at that style.

Sunny blue skies over Snowbasin Utah for day two of the Wendy's invitaionial Dew Tour. Another round of prelimns including the top names in skiing and snowboarding made for an exciting show of slopestyle and halpipe action.

The ladies started thing off with Slopestyle on a top notch course. Jenny Jones, Spencer O'Brien, and Kimberly Fasani rounded out the top three with impressive double grab spins, seven twenteys, and tech rail combo's.

The jump line was a bit of a speed puzzle cuasing some problems for a majority of the riders. Each air had to be perfectley landed to make the next jump. The riders score is determined by the best of two runs so riders can impress with a variety of combo's.

The Snowbasin park crew kept the course crispy and fined tuned, raking the jumps and landings between each heat. A few stock features such as a down flat down rail, battleship rail, and flat box were in the mix with some new Dew Tour features like a Toyota Tacoma setup for jibbing.

In mens snowboard slopestyle Torstein Horgmo proved once again he's a well rounded shredding machine. With an impessive run full of tech spins to rails, gigantic switch and regular spins Torstein set a new Dew Tour record with the highest score ever achieved.

Many riders showed they had a deep bag of tricks as well but once again the tricky speed issues claimed a few big names. The rest of the field remained in close competition with riders being edged out and others moving up the ranks for clean stomps and legit locks on rails.

when I shot this photo.

Mens and womans skiing superpipe prelims were running at the same time. I tried to pull myself away from the snowboard action to bust a few shots but since I'm a boarder myself I had too stay put for the show. But I hear Justin Dorey came out on top after a fierce back and forth.

Simon Dumont took a diiger but came back with some sick style to claim fourth. I heard of a cork 9 sent in the womans qualifier making me wish I'd seen the ladies stepping it up.
Sometimes it's ok.
Do whatever it takes to make it to the first round of finals tomorrow for a large helping of eye candy making you wish you could really ride. With such a pile of cash at stake the riders will be puuling out all the stops for the number one.
