Winning my second gold medal at the Olympics was

skateboarding.(As seen in USA Today) - It's been four months since Shaun White claimed his second gold medal in halfpipe snowboarding at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Not one to take the summer off, White will soon step on his board again
his skateboard, that is.
White will compete in the International Skateboarding Federation World Championships on June 25-26 at the Dew Tour's Skate Open in Boston.
White's success in skateboarding is almost as well-known as his snowboarding career.
In 2007, he won the overall Dew Cup championship in vert skating, besting such legends as Bucky Lasek and Bob Burnquist. That victory was complemented by a Summer X Games gold that same year.
After skipping skateboarding competition last season to focus on the Olympics, White is primed to return to his other passion.
"Winning my second gold medal at the Olympics was unbelievable, and I'm excited to get back to skateboarding," White said. "After taking a year off, the Dew Tour's Skate Open is the perfect place for me to kick off my summer of skating."
It seems taking a year off from skating hasn't had much impact on White's abilities on the vert ramp.
"I recently skated with Shaun during his second time riding in over a year, and he did all his tricks," says veteran competitor Andy MacDonald.
"As usual, everyone will be gunning for him again."
