The innards of the Greasebus
In yet another Perspectives video series, Planet Earth Clothing went deep into the California desert to share the story of Michael Lish and his small, off-the-grid independent brand, 333 Skis. For years Lish has been building skis out of his portable trailer made completely of recycled materials. Running off solar power, the 333 Skis factory, tools, process and reason behind it all is as unique and creative as the guy with the Mohawk driving it.
Walking around his compound that looks like a set from Mad Max , Lish tells stories of reclaimed pieces of garbage which make up his home and factory. Whether it s the water-filled door with windows or the swivel chair that sits at eye level and can be moved across the room, trash has never looked better. Pictures don t give this story justice, so go watch it!
