Nicole Kidman in BMX Bandits
Who knew?
With the Quik Pro going on right now we're in the mindset of all things Australian. That said, do you remember the movie RAD? It was a BMX film made in the 80s and represented Hollywood's take on BMX culture circa, 1986. Every kid in the neighborhood went out and bought a Haro (or maybe a Huffy) because the movie was, well ... rad.
Prior to RAD in 1983 Australian film makers produced their own version of the two-wheeled action thriller, dubbed BMX Bandits. This time capsule of cheese was and is so awesome on so many levels that it's tough to elaborate on them all here. However one very notable and obvious point of enjoyment is the film's precocious Aussie leading lady - Nicole Kidman.
Kidman, of course, went on to fame and fortune alongside Tom Cruise, but we'll never forget her first love was action sports... awww yeeahh maaaaattttteeeee!!!!!!
