Mike Ranquet is a legend of snowboarding. Hailing from the northwest, Ranquet was among a core crew of OG shreds like Jamie Lynn and Dave Seaone. What made many of those characters memorable was not only their stylish riding but also their unique personalities. Here Mike talks about how the modern snowboarding industry seems to lack original icons, with snow porn drones being ever replaceable, the sport has suffered by cutting short the longevity of careers that could and should be more timeless. Interesting perspective from a guy who's seen and done it all.
