WORCS Round 3 at Lake Havasu was jammed packed with story lines prior to the gate drop. The pits were buzzing as Caselli and Brown showed up with a stable of 250fs. Did they know something the rest didn't, or would lack of horsepower end up backfiring on the duo? Eli Tomac returned also aboard a 250f and for those not in the know, Tomac just got off an extremely dominating run at his final two amateur nationals in Texas.
Kyle Summers resolved his tank issues as IMS introduced the new tank for the 2010 YZ's, therefore giving him the tools he needed to chase the podium. Ricky Dietrich nailed the fastest lap in practice and looked to have brought the fire that has taken him to the top of the Havasu podium in the past. Gary Sutherlin was under the Kawasaki tent filling in for Destry Abbott and without doubt Sutherlin was focused and ready to impress.
Qualifying saw Dietrich on top followed by Brown, Summers, Caselli, and Tomac rounding out the top five. This gave a glimpse of what was to come on Sunday and proved that the 250f's had enough speed to get the job done on what many are calling the toughest track in off-road.
