A stroll away from the innocence of maple syrup and ice cream, Hannah Teter's latest philanthropic effort to helping the needy is a bit more risque - perhaps inspired by her recently revealing Sports Illustrated bikini poses.

Just launched, Hannah's "Sweet Cheeks Sassy Pants" line of ladies under garments takes on a form fitting, yet sporty profile while professing a truism of 60's altruism - "Make Love Not War" ... man.

This is the first time I've heard the term "transformative gifting." It's an interesting euphemism for selling product and donating a portion of the proceeds to charity. Of question though is what profit percentage of these "Sweet Cheeks" are making post-donation.

Wholesome Hannah

At $18 a pop, with $5 nobly going to support Doctors without Borders in Haiti, that still leaves a decent 83% revenue take on simple cotton panties that one can acquire via a 3 for $9 at deal at Target, begging the question, why not just donate all the proceeds? Alas, better to pony up and penny up for the common good and make a profit too - it's the American Way, and Hannah will, after all, be representing the Good Ol USA in Vancouver.

In a recent interview she stated she was hoping to make the Olympic team this year so she could "use it as a platform, to be more of a spokesperson to make big, positive changes." Well there's no doubt that Hannah's goal to raise $100,000.00 by May 2010 is a big one (that's 20,000 pairs of pro boarder panties). And it's apparent that Hannah, the now 22 year old woman, with her more aggressive sex appeal as of late, is quite the change from the darling Maple Syrup Blondie teenager of 2006.

We say good for her. If her bum can turn heads and turn the tide to help those in need, more power to you, sassy pants.

With a new model coming out every month, we may be inclined to support the whole collection. As they say "it's time to get paired up in the name of peace, love, and posterior."
