Austin GrangerBy Kevin Westenbarger ... The biggest little city in the world recently got blanketed by a foot of fluffy goodness thanks to an ulta-cold storm that hit the west coast. With plenty of snow and temperature reports of below zero, it was time for a rail trip. Joining me on this trip was Austen Granger, Matty Mo, Kyle Lopiccolo, Ted Lavoie, and Levitation Project filmer Mark Dangler.![]()
We gathered up all the necessary gear and hit the road. Shovels? Check. Generator? Check. Bungee? Check. Wait Bungee?
Yes, there is a new product made by Banshee Bungee that is revolutionizing urban shredding. It consists of a bungee cord with a wakeboard style handle on one end. Attach the other end to a support near the takeoff, have a homie or 2 pull it back to you, and voila, you have instant speed.

I, like most people, was a little skeptical. That came to an end during this trip, more specifically, during the very first rail session. The bungee worked great and we ended up using it on 100% of the jibs we setup. When you consider all the time and hassle associated with drop-in ramps and that they rarely produce enough speed, the bungee just makes sense.
Add to that the fact that you can attach multiple bungees end to end to literally generate speeds capable of hitting jumps and you have a world of new options opening up. To see the bungee in action check out the new video releases Hard to Earn and Videograss .
